How does the overhead console come off ? I have a dome light in it that keeps coming on on it's own. It's come close to killing my battery a couple times when I let the truck sit for a couple days. Any info on what could be wrong with the light would be helpful also.

Sure, I'll try and help you. It's been a really long time since I had mine apart but I went and took some pictures, so give it a go:

First, flip open the garage-door opener cubby and you will see two clips in there. Squeeze them together and push in a little and then pull down. Be gentle with those clips because I broke one on mine.

Ok, next there are two sliding hooks that hold the overhead in back where the sunglasses cubby is. After you get the front clips released you can then slide the overhead towards you and it should come out.

That should be it. It might be one of the switches that is broke or, it might be a "timer module".

Let me know if that works for you, I'll be around the computer for rest of the day. Like I said, it's been awhile so I might have missed something.

I have the console here if you need any more pictures or have any questions.

That more than works for me ..... Thank you you are awesome.... My left light doesn't have any spring tension when pushed anymore so I think the switch either broke or came out of place. I'll take it out later today and have a look. Thank you again.

Just fixed mine lastnight. Good info! On mine the switch was stuck closed, looked like someone had pushed it to hard and popped the back off the switch.
