why not go with a felpro #1008 at .039 , surely .003 can't make that much difference

I re-read my notes and I need .035" . My flat top pistons are .003" in the hole and all I'm finding is .039" gaskets, which puts me at .042". I'm looking for good quench this time around. My old pistons had a 17cc dish. Am I being too picky ?
Thanks

yes, your being too picky. .042 is still good quench.

Did you check all 8 cylinders and record what EACH of them was in the hole? Not often will they be +/- .001"

Did you true deck the block?

Yes the block was decked and I did check all cylinders. But thanks for the reminder. Now if I could just find a sport hood for my 2011 Ram as fast as you guys helped answer my question ! At a reasonable price ! I guess I am too picky.

Oh, it's out there K. The twin to yours with dual scoops just hasn't been rear-ended yet!

But, there is snow on the roads now so it shouldn't be too much longer.

I'd definitely go Cometic anyway. I'm on my 3rd reuse of my set, well worth the $$$ spent. Just my $.02

That's what I'm hoping ! The sooner the better. Can't beleive how people forget how to drive when it snows.

I've never used them before. I'm going to need a complete tear down gasket set besides the head gaskets. I will check the cometics out. Usually get my parts from Mancini. Thanks for your

When using Cometic gasket the block and head surfaces
need to be milled a certain way ... just so you know
