Well it didn't work out the way I had hoped- the audio store could only get 6 of the 8 speakers to work with the new deck and harness kit. And they didn't sound very good plus there was barely any bass. The harness kit was for a 1996-2000 Dodge Caravan with Premium sound. So its back to the old pos stereo until I come up with a better plan.

Have you tried Crutchfield?

I am assuming this is a van with the Infinity system. The blue wire that is marked in most instructions as the power antenna is in reality the 12V feed to the speakers (they are amplified). Hook this to 12V and you will have your bass and audio from all the speakers.

Clarification: the blue wire should be hooked to switched 12V coming from the radio. The conversion harnesses label the blue wire as for the power antenna. Since most vans do not have power antennas, the installer assumes it is not needed. Then the audio sounds like 1970 era 4 track.

I just ran into the same problem with my 2000 with infinity sound... the blue wire was the key... although i had no sound at all until i fixed the blue wire..
