has anyone heard from or seen jeff? he's had my heads for over a year now and i kinda want them back. i've tried emailing and calling. but no replies. i understand he was sick but its been a year!!!!!!!

he gets back in very short notice when you email him...he's not that good with the phone though...I bet he is super busy at the shop and cant afford to spend time at the phone...

I have only gotten good service from him and prompt replies. He just did a set of HEMI heads for me.

Macka,when I dropped off my heads last week,he looked good...and said he's feeling fine! Reaching him by phone is tough..takes too much time away from him actually WORKING!

I've spoken with Jeff just a couple of days ago.. he answered my phone call with no problems..

Having a phone nearby in the shop is good...if there is a secretary or someone to constantly answer it. Usually, while working, I've seen some shops stop for an hour in the morn, and then in the afternoon, just to answer and return phone calls. We get most of our engine builder phone calls at the end of the day. Thats when most of them are alone in the shop, and can catch up on much needed emails and call. FWI.

I do know a guy in michigan. I have no idea how close he is though. I'll contact him tonight.

I sent Jeff a PM tonight,on Toby's behalf. I know for a fact he didn't see it yet. He usually gets back to me in a timely manner! Trust me Mike...I'll have my heads back by March at the latest!....I'm only 40 minutes from his shop!

Knowing Jeff as well I do there has to be some other part to this not being said that it is taking this long??????????????

Thank you for the update. I don't like to annoy him by phone as I know he is flat out.

I sent Jeff some W2 heads several years ago during one of the Christmas specials. It took several months to get done, but I told him I wasn't in a hurry for them. I think I just got put in the back burner for a while. I bugged him a bit and got them in a month or less. I was more worried about them getting lost in a pile than being in a hurry for them.

i'm not going to sit here and bad mouth jeff. here's the story in a nut shell. i had a big block given to me with a set of stage 6 heads on it. i started looking around for a head porter that would hang a job on them. i found out that most people don't like to mess with them too much. i had always heard jeff is one of the best head guys around, so i e-mailed him. he got right back to me, i explained what i wanted he said it would be 6-8 weeks. i was in no rush so it wasn't a problem. i shipped them and he received them sept 25/10. in late december i was on moparts and people were posting on jeffs health and that he had gotten cancer and was goin for treatment in seattle. so i never e-mailed him i left it alone until march 25\11 i told him i understood that he had some health problems and asked if my heads had been done or he could just ship them back. he said he was sorry he'd been sick but he would get them done by april 8\11. i told him to go ahead and do them then send me a bill so i could wire some loot. that was the last contact i've had with him. i sent him my heads because he's one of the best guys out there. i had heard nothing but good about his work and service. on top of all that i'm on this site at least once a day, where i get to read about people sending there heads to him and getting them right back. sooooo i don't know what's going on. like i said i'm trying to bad mouth the guy and i know he's super busy, i just wasn't expecting this long of wait.

I'd also like to see Toby get his heads back so he can finish his car so he can read my bumper stickers on the way down the track!.

hahahaha todd!! these heads are already sold to don bailey for his duster. that's the other reason i'd like them back. as far as my motor i've been talking to mike at muscle motors and i think i'm gonna send him my mega block. i'm just way too busy with work to think about building a motor right now. its gonna be a 604 b1 headed monster!!!

Wicked..I'll still spot you a couple lenghts if you want!!!!....more like I'll be asking for some.....Can't wait to see it.
