Man, Wilson thinks their stuff is gold I guess. I run the 2 1/4" spacer/adapter from Moroso and it`s cheap and can be blended into your plenum nicely and quickly. I can`t imagine a 1" adapter working too well w/the butterflies so close to an abrupt turn/angle but that`s me.

If you can't fit the tall adapter, buy a manifold w/ the 4500 flange. I don't think you'll see any gains w/ the dominator using a short 1" adapter.

I run a 2" adapter that has been blended to the ported intake and it works good but have no room for air cleaner. I would like to try a 1" to see if it makes any difference in e.t. so I could possible fit a air cleaner.

On my W-2 I use a 2" adapter but on my W-9 I milled the 420 intake to take the carb direct on the manifold... I didnt think I needed more plenum volume with 405ci plus I didnt want to have to change the air pan on my scoop if I change engines(thats how much taller the 420 is over the Indy W-2)
