The transmission is going out in my Aunts 01 LHS and I was wondering how bad it is to R and R the tranny. I have a two post lift and have done tons of front drive trannys but this one looks to be more of a pain. Just wondering what to look for when I start this project. Can it be done without dropping the cradle.

Just did one on an 02 Intrepid. It is longitudinal, not transverse so it comes out like a rear wheel drive trans, pretty much the only difference is popping out the half shafts instead of disconnecting the u joint. It was easier than most front drives I have done. Also, you do not have to drop the cradle, just the trans crossmember and mount.
