SuperD OP member S Joined: Sep 2009 Posts: 14 N.E. Ohio	Ok I was backing my 71 swinger out of the drive and suddenly a loud bang and my front end dropped down. I looked and saw that the ride adjuster pulled off of the bolt that passes through the lower control arm. Does anyone know if this is hard to fix or what the technical term is for the part that im describing? Ive never ran into this before and am kind of stumped on what to do as the torsion bar looks fine. help please

Prob a bolt/block that's been taken apart/reassembled many times which actually is rare. I'd get another block/bolt & put it back together & maybe get a distance from the other side lower control arm to the subframe & duplicate that to keep the alignment intact live every 24 hour block of time like it's your last day on earth

Ive never ran into this before and am kind of stumped on what to do as the torsion bar looks fine. help please Very strange... that usually only happens when the torsion bar breaks... you can get new parts from Mancini's (bolt and block)... check to see if it just slid off the arm... but it shouldnt have because the block has 2 grooves that the arm lays in... if nothing is broke you can back the bolt out and reinstall it EDIT I read a little closer and you said it pulled the bolt through.... new parts are needed(Mancini's) Last edited by MR_P_BODY; 11/27/11 07:16 PM.

RapidRobert Circle Track R Joined: Nov 2003 Posts: 36,041 Lincoln Nebraska	when you go back together keep the block squared not tilted on the bottom grooves and when the round nub first starts to contact the recess move the block/bolt slightly so they are still "square/in line" for the first couple of turns then crank it up & having the front end off the ground till you get close to the final height makes it go alot easier (on you & the parts) live every 24 hour block of time like it's your last day on earth
