71 Cuda 383. Electronic ignition, chrome box, epoxy Blaster 2 coil. I need to start it up. This engine is in a shell. No wiring, ignition switch, etc. I remember using a remote starter, but don't recall the lay out of the wiring from the box. And do I have to use the ballast?

Helpful, but that's if you have an ignition switch. I'm using a remote starter and I know there was something about a jumper wire across the ballast??

You'd need ign1 (run)- the blue wire circuit to T to (1) the "point" of the ECU pentastar connector with a 4 pin ECU and (2) to the upstream side of the ballast. Then a wire from the downstream (far) end of the ballast to the coil positive primary. You'd need ign2 (ign while cranking) to the downstream (bypassed) side of the ballast. It's recommended that you use some ballast w that coil in a non MSD (ECU) app maybe .25 ohm for longevity. 2 wires from dist to ECU. You have the remote starter switch/leads to connect either the large/small terminals at the starter or the large "batt" terminal on the starter relay to the brown wire next to it that goes to the solenoid on top of the starter. EDIT forgot, need wire from coil pri neg to ECU, schematics in archives
