The Chargers were assmbled at Hamtramck - the GTX at St. Louis, but it is a simple example that "first in - first out" practices were NOT in use at the assembly plants. 11 weeks & just short of 80,000 cars were built at Hamtramck between the use of 2 transmissions built on the same day (44 units apart).
