I searched and researched and pretty sure of the answer, but just to clarify, on my MSD 6AL-2 is it going to hurt to run the small red(from MSD) wire to the positive side of the coil? New points style (Evans Wiring) along with new Year One dash harness. 69 Charger with new Fire Core distributor. Please don't flame to hard, just a simple question.

Thanks,
Darren

Yes, you are correct. I think I'm over thinking it. Sorry for the dumb question.

By the way, I LOVE your Notch. I have a '68 Notch, but not near as fast as yours. Nice car.

Just to close the subject, the red one comes from the blue/brown wires from the ballast ? if so voltage drops when hot ?

Yes. You take your old coil + and connect it to the small red wire. Think of the small red wire as the activation voltage for a solenoid. All it does is turn "on" the MSD box. It doesn't pull any real juice, as long as the small red "senses" a 12v signal it will turn on the box.
