My friend Stephens Car has the 306s and he wants to know what that cam will do with more compression and that camshaft or the mopar one.

11.79 compression
RHS heads flow 286 .550 and 290 @ 600
Port Matched Air gap Eddy
850 dp

and its between Mopar Performance Cam P4120655 Mechanical Flat Tappet, Adv. Duration 296/296, with 76 ABDC which would give me 8.55 DCR and 91
.594 intake and .594 exhaust
or

306s which is 260/260 with 76 ABDC lift at .555 and .555 which would give DCR of 8.29 .592 intake and Exhaust lift with 1.6 rockers

Should also mention, friend with 11.2 compression runs eddy heads and that mopar cam and made 521hp

What do you guys think?

The first cam is close to what I run. Mine is 264 and 270 @ .050 with .634 and .628 lift using the 1.6 rockers. Its on a 110 LSA and I have it in at a 106 ICL. What are the specs at .050 on the first cam ? And what is the LSA ? Ron

The measured duration @ .050 for that MP cam is .257. They both have the same lobe separation of 110 degrees. Honestly there will be little,if any difference in performance. I have both of these cams on the shelf and plan on doing a back to back dyno test some day just to see. I just have not had the time to do it yet.
I would run the Comp Cams myself due to the fact that it has a small increase in duration @ .050 and that will give you a slight increase in overlap with the same lsa. That will help with scavenging and possibly make a little more midrange torque.
