My 67 Belvedere (which has electronic ignition) has began to die intermittently. I sure don't like to throw parts at a problem w/o diagnosing it, but the car always starts right back up, making troubleshooting near impossible. I am thinking ignition module. Thoughts?

I should have mentioned when I posted that I had removed the ECU mounting screws and checked for a clean connection, and yes, I had used lockwashers when I did the conversion many years ago. Everything looked good. The way I see it, it could be resistor, ECU, pickup coil, or coil. I realize I'll probably have to just start swapping parts, but wondered what was most likely, in your experience. I will test the ECU later at NAPA, but since it's an intrmittent problem, I don't expect anything to show up. Thanks for the replies!

It doesn't just die at idle, but at any engine speed. There's no miss or anything - it just dies suddenly. Yes, I'll probably swap on a different ECU tonight.
