I have a 67 Coronet R/T with an auto trans and console. I purchased a factory console mounted tach and would like to mount it on the top plate. What size hole would be correct to drill, and is there a marking on the bottom of the console top plate for where to drill the hole? Does anyone have any pictures of the bottom of the top plate if it is marked from the factory where the hole should be drilled? How do you remove the top plate? Any help that you gents can provide will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

There is a casting outline on the under side to show you were to drill. To remove the plate you need to remove the knob off the shifter handle, open the console door and remove the two front screws, slide the front cover toward the back to release the front catch tab and then lift it up. To remove the shifter knob, first spin off the center button then remove the set screw from outer knob.
