Can a ball and trunion style 4-speeed tailhousing be converted to a slip yoke easily?or is there a bunch o f stuff need to be done.I need a 4 speed for my car, found a 65 out of a coronet.I will rebuild whatever I find so it will be apart but if it requires a bunch if extra parts I may continue my search. Thanks Guys

Myself, I would keep looking for a more correct trans to begin with. The tailshaft housing and the mainshaft are different on a slip yoke trans.

You will need a main shaft and a tail shaft housing. That's all. It's pretty straight foreward. Good luck.

I agree with 68 LAR has already siad, what car are you wanting to use it in now? It makesa difference, the 1966 to 1969 B bodys are the same, the 1970 and up B and E body share the tailshaft housing but the trans tail shaft mounting position and shifter pads are in differnent locations than the earlier B body are. BTW, I have both PM me if you want on this Cab

Mr.Cab Racing and winning with Mopars since 1964. (Old F--t, Huh)
