This is a factory 65 Coronet clutch fork,( 10.5" clutch) not even close to the Z bar bracket.

I assume I need an 11" clutch fork for the shield?

I used to care but....... things have changed

I used a 10.5 fork in mine.65 Belvedere. There are 2 mounting points in the shield. That and the pivot on the bell dosent look right.Mine is a flat plate with a ball on the end.Its OE as I bought the car all factory in 69.I used my pivot that bolts in the shield from my 65 also.Rocky

Ran into the same problem with mine (on both my 64 and my 65 cars). Both are the Lakewood scattershields. Called Wayne Brewer. He told me what I needed, I advise you to call him and hear it straight from him.
In short, whoever did the pivot location machining at Lakewood never owned a 64/65 b-body...

Have you got the fork pivot bracket in the bellhousing installed the right way?

If all you've done is replace the bellhousing with a scattershield then there's no reason any other parts should have to change. The crank centerline to the left frame rail distance is still the same. The z-bar and clutch fork basically span this distance and there's no reason they should change.
