Im just completing my 71 Duster project to find gas gauge, temp and oil pressure do not work.

It appears that there is a voltage limiter inside of the gas gauge that fails often.

Does any one have a for sure way of bench testing the gas gauge and the voltage limiter part.

It is NOT easy at all R&R on those rallye clusters so any

You can check the oil and temp. gauge with a 9 volt battery, but just put it on long enough to see if they move. I think you can put a ground on the dash frame and turn it on hooked up and see if you get a flashing test lite on it. I may have a good gauge if you need one. Ronnie

Put the test lite on your gas gauge.
