Would this be a good cam for a street/strip 10-5comp 340 in an -65 Dart?

I ran the XE284H which is very close (other then the extra lift) in my 451 Duster with a true 9.73 compression ratio, Car ran a best of 10.91 @ 121 at 31xx lb. race weight, Stock 906 heads, M1 single, 750dp, 9.5" 4400 stall @ 4.10s with a 28" tire, 60ft. adveraged 1.52-1.54 with a best of 1.51, It was a torque monster, very good street manners, was installed at 105.5, You will be very happy with that cam, but i would run a 9.5" stall at least 38-4200 flash & minimun 3.91s. I'm sure with a little better 60ft. that night i would have pulled off a 10.89, That is outstanding for such a mild mannered cam shifting at 56-5700 .

Joedust, I don't want to be offensive and you have a nice running combo but Its a 340 he's asking about. You can't really compare a 340 to a 451. The 340 is much more sensitive to cam size. They make good horsepower but the torque has to come from gears and higher converter. A 340 with a 285 cam is gonna want to shift at 6800rpm as well.
Yeah i wasn't paying attention LOL, Ok then, I think the cam will still work fine & be streetable in the 340, I would go with at least a true 10.1 too 10.5, 43-4500 stall & at least a 4.30 gear. Aluminum heads at least 10.8
