Is the 3-speed column shift manual transmission in a 1969 383 2-barrel C-body Dodge Polara syncromesh? When was the syndromesh 3-speed introduced?

I think that would be an A-230 and yes it should have a syncro'd 1st gear. Earlier versions had a non syncro 1st, but it was around 69 or maybe 70 they changed to all syncro gears.

'69 was still the old A-745, the all-synchro A-230 was introduced in '70.

I ran an A230 in my circle burner & never had a problem with it & it was synchro in 1st. iirc /6 A230's have a 1.70 1st gear and V8's have a 1.49 1st gear.
