Just looking through ebay and ran across this. Kind of interesting. Although the engine information is not all correct. "The later Interceptors used the lower compression, less powerful, smog ready 440 and weighed about 600 lbs more."
But check it out. Never seen one before.

I've always liked them, but I never really liked the rear window glass. I think they could have finished the car better than they did.

These are interesting cars and cheaper than a RoadRunner by a long shot. One of my homies just bought one for $4,000.00. Very nice condition. What isn't Mopar is Jaguar so upkeep isn't that big a problem. You do have to worry about glass, dents, rust, etc. Sheet metal is a little hard to find.

Nice car, and it might go for a decent price. Lucky for me I swore off British cars years ago...
Looks like about 2 blocks from where I used to live - wouldn't want to drive, or particularly park that car in SF!

I have never seen any car Jensen with 340 engine. They came with 361, 383 and 440 engines. Before '63(?) they came with 4 litre 6 cyl. engine from Austin.

I like the FF model. First car with modern four wheel drive system and "anti skid brakes".

Neat car, that's what you call a hybrid. Check out the oil filter location in the engine bay picture, that one takes the cake!

They did a six pack version as well! called the Interceptor SP, thats where most Brit six pack Mopar motors come from!!
We have also found almost all Jensens had six pack motors, regardless of the induction system on top, the big rods and balancer seem always to be there, all the motors are stamped up as HP on the block, and were overstamped with Jensen's own engine number.

The FF (Ferguson Formula) cars were the first recognised to have all wheel drive and anti skid brakes

Even over here they are getting rare, if you ever think about purchasing one, beware of the sills, and lwer inner "A" post area, they rot away real bad around that area

The Jensen Interceptor FF had a 383 engine and Fergusen Formula four wheel drive.
My father was a traffic cop in London, England in the 1960's. I remember him bringing home a police magazine in 1967 or 68 which carried an item with photo's showing two Plymouth Fury police cars from the States that were shipped to England for the same four wheel drive setup as Jensen to be fitted and tested, then shipped back to the USA for evaluation.

I cant remember which police department they were from. But somewhere in the USA,- probably in a junkyard now, are a pair of ex-police Plymouth Fury's with four wheel drive!

On the same subject: Two Dodge Challengers were also converted to four wheel drive during 1970. I don't know what happened to one of them, but the other stayed here in the UK and was found recently in very rusty condition with most of the mechanical components missing.

The only surviving Ferguson four wheel drive car of the era that I know of now is a Mustang (1970 I believe). This car is in very nice condition.

'Anyone know of any others?

I guy here in MA has one that I believe is for sale; it's got an RB motor in it. It needs work, but it would be one fast ride! These cars aren't nearly as small as most British cars; they were built as exotic exports. I believe Healey teamed up with Jensen after the Austin Healey's went out of production in '68, as I've seen cars badged "Jensen Healey".
