65rbdodge master 6 Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 3,920 n.e. pa.	there are no 440 specific heads, a big block head was a big block head. be it 383, 400, 440, ect. the numbers will be on runners under the rocker arms/shafts.

dogdays I Live Here D Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 16,376	On the top under the valve cover area there will be a casting number. We usually identify them by the last three digits, such as "906" or "452". The bad news is that most B/RB heads are functionally the same, unless you happen across a set of Max Wedge heads. Get a list of the casting numbers put together and then find a list online or come back here. Where in Minnesota is this cache located? R.

Lesser now because of the availability of aftermarket heads vs the cost of having a set of iron heads redone. But you're still going to be able to sell them, maybe not for huge cash but better than sitting.
