I'm putting a 360 in my Dart ( see the post in the general forum for pics) that should be in the 400 to 450 hp range. My friend who built it suggested I put a solid drivers side engine mount,I'm not sure if it's really needed. My options are - a) stock rubber mounts. b)drivers side solid, other rubber c) polylock mounts, or d)rubber with a torque strap.

What would you suggest? I don't mind spending money, just want to make sure its not wasted for something I don't need.

I vote for rubber and a torque strap.

schumacher has a nice bolt in torque strap for the A-body/SB,bolts to the k-frame and block ear at the mount.

I used one side of a set of elephant ears for a torque strap in my 440 truck.

Rubber mounts are cheap. Use em but keep your eye on them.

I always ran the solid Moroso mounts in my A-bodies. Cheap, and work great, especially in a 4-speed car

Did they give you a vibration or rough ride?

i always liked the schmacher magnum mounts. they were rubber mounts with a through bolt to keep it from blowing out. i guess the poly lock is what took their place..

What about poly mounts?
