Anyone have pics of an add-on third brake light on an older Mopar? Esp mounted on the package tray.
Wrapping up the Cuda rebuild and thinking I need to get the sheeple's attention.
remember when you said honey, some day that car is gonna look so good in front of our house

no pics but a long thin shallow one on the package tray at the bottom of the rear window would be functional/not interfere with your vision

high mounted brake lights MoparMarq just forwarded me this link on another post, but they sell 3rd brake lights also. Maybe also consider the long, thin LED brake lights that are sold for installing on pickup trucks below the tailgate?

I posted this a while back on a 3rd brake light I installed on my RR out of a '86 (IIRC) Maxima. It was the type that the mfgr bolted to the package tray, rather than molded in. So it was adaptable to another car. I shaved the base a little to get the right angle, then screwed it to a piece of sheet metal. Glued some leftover sail panel fabric to the sheet metal for aesthetics, painted the housing to match the interior. Ran the wire from the brake switch output to the pos. terminal for the bulb, negative to ground in the trunk. Wires on small bullet terminals through a hole under package tray insert. The sheet metal and fabric extend out from the back of the housing a couple inches so it's jammed between the package tray trim and window trim. Stays put, but due to it's installation, it's also undoable if desired.
Got a few pics here...

Ugly? Yeah, probably.
Unnecessary? Maybe, but I'm with the OP - a lot of folks these days driving pretty distracted, what with the eating, phone-chatting, texting, mascara-applying, and other activities that none of US would ever sink to! (I don't look good in mascara anyway...)

I guess you are clear about how to source it... right ?... directly from white wire at pedal switch and nothing to do on rear harness
