Sorry if this has been covered or is just plain dumb. In my defense, I am trying to make my 1971 'Cuda look as original as I can and I am kind of new to all this.

Are the body plugs painted body color or are they black like they where put in after the car was painted?

Thanks

Both of my cars had black plugs. Installed after painting.

They went in after the paint but before the undercoat (if your car was undercoated).

the only thing i can think of that was installed before paint was the plastic sliders on the rear tortion rods for the decklid hinges. i`ve seen factory paint on all the ones ive seen off original cars. can someone confirm this?
all the best
frank.

Yes you are correct including the fact that they were already greased before painting
