Made 2 passes last night ,,trans didn't shift right. t- flight..second pass launched great but didn't go into 2 nd kinda slid thru into 3 rd...as I got off the track it wouldn't move at all..no forward and no reverse..Hauled it home and today I just fired it up and drove it into the garage..DUH !!! Last night it wouldn't move and today I drove it .. Whats that all about.??? Yes the fluid is full and not burnt..any ideas ???

Adjust your bands.

The front one would be the offender here.
I've had this issue before where it wouldnt shift until I slightly let off then it would go right into third. It was because my band was Worn and too lose to hold the drum. might not be your problem but worth trying the adjustment.

A loose kickdown band could account for the lazy 1-2 shift but bands aren't involved in moving the car forward from a standstill...sounds like a pressure problem when the fluid is hot.
