BFASTER OP mopar B Joined: Nov 2003 Posts: 624 Modesto CA	Anyone ever hear of a Dana 60 cracking at the pinion where the yoke seal is? I have a brand new seal and yet there is a tiny amount of fluid leaking from that area where the driveshaft yoke enters the pumpkin. No, I haven't put it up on a lift yet to actually wipe it off and do a thorough check. Just curious as to whether it is even possible. [This car used to be a weekend racer.] No on the cracking, not uncommon for them to leak out of the old leather pinion seal, especially in a race car that sits a lot Look closely, fix it once Mr.Cab Racing and winning with Mopars since 1964. (Old F--t, Huh)

JohnRR I Win Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 75,005 U.S.S.A.	It's a pretty heavy casting , but stranger things have happened . What did the seal surface on the yoke look like , if it's got a groove worn in it changing the seal is not going to fix that .
