I just got a set of 28-11.5-15 M/T slicks, these will be on 10" rims, should I run tubes in these or is it not needed. The rims are drilled for screws, so if I use tubes they should be screwed down to keep from shearing off valvestem, right?

You want to screw the tires to the wheel either way. A tube MAY cost you a little ET on a high HP car with large tires (dragster). The tire will lose air over a short period of time without the tube. With the size tire you are running I would run the tube and not worry.

Run tubes! You will thank me instead of finding a flat tire or two once a month.
