Car is being painted B/C FE5 in sections { but wondering if would be best to paint the extension assembled or seperate?.

Either paint them separately, or loosen them from the fenders so there's space between the extn & fender for paint to get into. If you paint them bolted tightly together, the paint will bridge the gap, which not only looks all wrong, but will crack at that "seam" in time.

How did the factory do it on the assembly line ?? Can`t see them being painted separately yet seems to be body colour under neath ...how ???assembeded during paint . The same with front and rear valances ??

Factory spaced them off the panels according to something I saw on the topic.
