I ran the Hedman 1-3/4 on my old 440 combo which I thought ran pretty good for what it was. A 440 with 906 heads I worked and the MP .557 cam along with your basic bolt on's. It ran an 11.49 @ 116 best. I also have an article somewhere around here from CPPA that has a test on a mild 440 where the 1-3/4 headers made the car faster in the 1/4 because of the better low end on the mild build. Ron

I'm pretty sure he was talking about the 1 7/8" headers. but I will let him clarify.
