On my 69 gtx 440 with the vapor seperator installed Have not drove car that much since completed notice after driving it and turn it off it will start up right away but if it sits for a short time does not want to start inless I put on pedal. Hope someone can help.

next time before you crank it take off the air cleaner & jerk the throttle several times & see if you have several good A/P squirts in the bowl

Yup. You need to forget everything you've learned about EFI and learn how to operate a carburated engine. Every one is slightly different, and you need to understand how yours works.

this isn't a vapor lock problem. its fuel evaporation in the carb. if the engine runs at 180f and the fuel boils at 130f the fuel will vaporize in the carb. both my cars do it. i know if they sit for a week or so i have to get the squirt bottle out and fill the bowls; or grind or the starter, .
