I've been in the process od fixing up my driver 96 Dakota 3.9 V6..it's a standard cab. I just re-painted it and for about a year now, I've had no Catalytic Converter on it..It began to break down and rattle in it's case and it was rather annoying..So I cut it off and stuck a glass pack in there..well, with a glass pack AND new factory style muffler..it's loud..And I'm tired of it.

I could likely weld one in myself..I just need suggestions.

I saw this on Ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MAGNAFLOW...=item45fa392e5e

Does that seem like a good route to go? I'm open to suggestions on a budget.
thanks!

I like Magnaflow mufflers, haven't tried their cats. I know what you mean by budget, but like so many things, you get what you pay for with cats. With a cheapy Egag one, you'll probably be replacing it again in 2 or 3 years. Will you keep the truck that long?

check out summit for some universal cats. i`ve been looking at them for my dakota, they are about $80 for a universal fit piece, made by magnaflow.
