I will be installing 70's disc brakes on my 65 cuda. Will I need to do away with the factory 65 cuda power brake booster? Install same booster from mid 70's a body? Thanks

I have not done it personally but I see no reason why you cannot keep your 65 booster as M/C's have the same 4 bolt pattern so the only possible differences would be the flange thickness which would affect the pedal height & I dont see there being close to an issue there and the depth of the piston recess between old/new M/C's and maybe a fitting adapter if the inverted flare fitting sizes are different on one or both M/C ports. Adj the pushrod clearance to ~1/8" & bleed the M/C before the 4 corners & you should b good

Well someone overseas wants to buy my brake booster and I am trying to figure out if people just use all the 70's parts to make it easier or if they have to retain the original 65 booster. Original 65 booster is also fairly pricey new....whatcha think?

If you have a V-8 car will the late booster clear the valve cover?

I looked up 65 cuda engine bay in google and saw a couple 70's style boosters in those. I guess anything is possible, I just don't want to re invent the wheel. I'm kinda feeling like I want a completely new brake set up anyway. I feel old, I used to just drive a car even if it needed suspension work...brake work...didn't run that well etc.,etc. Now I just feel like I want to do everything right. Darn old age is catching up with me....and i'm 30.....
