I am looking for a reverse pattern shifter I can mount in my stock console in a 70 Challenger with little modification. Any ideas? I was told that a rear mounted cable worked better. Is this true? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Pictures would be even better.

What's wrong with the stock shifter? Can't you file the detents like you do on a column shift?

I don't really like the idea of pushing the button on the slapstick shifter to get to 3rd gear or low as it would be on a regular pattern. I was told this is how some people do it with this shifter.
