buck0123 OP member B Joined: Apr 2010 Posts: 87 New York	It is not the original transmission. It only has part of a vin number on it. 0AI16671 PP8332946 005 So It is out of a 70 b-body but I was trying to figure out what b-body.

6bblgt I Live Here Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 17,516 Las Vegas, NV	The car would've been scheduled to be built the first week of September 1969. Closest I have any info on is a 383 Road Runner 75 assigned VINs earlier & a 383 Super Bee 600+ VINs later.

Not true , I have ever only seen early 69 engine and transmissions with the full VIN , early being assembled before Jan. 1, 69, it was spotty as to what did and didn't get them.

Unfortunately on a 70 trans the only way to tell is if you can see the casting number on the bearing retainer , pull the lower bellhousing shield and see what you can see.
