2946 = build date is Thursday, August 21, 1969

More info available such as assembly plant etc.
Try Brewer's site or simply google

0A - 0 is the model year, 1970. A is the assembly plant for the car, Lynch Road.

They built B-Bodies only for the 1970 model year, but no Chargers.

If it is from a 69 then it should have the vin stamped on it.

It is not the original transmission. It only has part of a vin number on it. 0AI16671

So It is out of a 70 b-body but I was trying to figure out what b-body.

The Lynch Rd. plant built all 70 B body styles except the Charger in 1970. Could be from any body style made there....impossible to tell unless you match up the VIN # to a known car.

70 Road Runner 383-4 4 speed FJ5 & black guts
70 Charger R/T 440-4 4 speed FJ5 & white guts

The car would've been scheduled to be built the first week of September 1969.
Closest I have any info on is a 383 Road Runner 75 assigned VINs earlier & a 383 Super Bee 600+ VINs later.

Not true , I have ever only seen early 69 engine and transmissions with the full VIN , early being assembled before Jan. 1, 69, it was spotty as to what did and didn't get them.

Unfortunately on a 70 trans the only way to tell is if you can see the casting number on the bearing retainer , pull the lower bellhousing shield and see what you can see.
