Any body have a small block with AC that can keep the belts on at 6,000rpm???? I use 2 belts over the c-171 compressor and I think the problem may be that the belts are never exactly the same length. One is always longer than the other and I can only get good tension on one belt. I think that this causes the other belt to fly off???? After the belts came off yesterday I put one back on and cut the other one off and it stayed on for a 5,000rpm blast. Does anybody know where I can buy 2 belts that are exactly the same size??? I seem to have good alignment. TIA TBF

My Barracuda keeps them on at 7,000rpm powershifting a 4-speed. I have A/C and P/S, running the 70-newer bracket setup. It was quite a challenge getting the pulley alignment perfect and choosing the correct belts. As stated, there always seems to be one belt that is a touch longer than the other one, but on a 2 belt A/C compressor, alignment comes into play and solves that problem
