M1 with a 1 underneath means 1971 - 6/17/71.
According to GG White Book - 72-74 A/B/E 14x5.5 Rallye

They made a 4.5" wide Rallye wheel?? How many sizes of Rallye did they make?

Ah, ok that makes more sense. I was always under the impression that only the A-bodies got the 5.5" wheel, while B & E bodies got the 14x6 and 15x7.
I've had people tell me that 14x6 does not exist and yet I have a set and they are as old as the hills.
