I finally got the car(67 Barracuda HT) out to see what it would do. I did not expect too much as the strip is 4000' with 5800-6500' relative altitude. The car is a 410 SB with a dual plane, 232 @.050 cam, 2500 stall and 3.23's. They were having a rice burner run off so many of the drivers were driving through the water box making the start poor. After I remembered to turn on the electric pump, it ran 13.30 @ 102 MPH. I am a happy camper becase at Sacramento it should run mid 12's. Also it got 12 MPG driving it to the track.

What a GREAT feeling, huh? VERY cool 'Cuda, too.

I LOVE Top Gun!! First time I finished "in the money" they brought the check to my trailer! It was more than was posted for a semi round finish and when I asked why, I was told that the car count was higher than required therefore they were passing it on to the racers. Wow...that would NEVER happen at Sac...

What really impressed me as a out-of-towner was EVERY staff member I encountered said hello, introduced themselves and seemed GLAD to have me there. Wow...that would NEVER, EVER, EVER happen at Sac...
