I was thinking of getting a buddy seat for my Dart and would like to know if they were available as an option on A-bodies?

No. Buddy seat was a separate 'seat' that mounted between the bucket seats. The back folded forward as an armrest......

Here's the 71 A-body version, which as stated is a part of the bench seat assembly and not a sepperate center seat bolted to the floor as shown in the above post in the B-body.

I'm not referring to a bench seat with a fold down center armrest. The picture Satilite73 posted is what I was asking about only in an A-body.

It is a split bench, but as you can see offers a similar end result as the buddy seat when the arm rest is folded down.

There was at least on 73 and up ones. Which models I am not sure. I pulled the one I put in my Duster out of a 74 Dart 4-door.
