having ignition box problems have a 7al2 currently ,and seperate 3 step and rpm module ,launch module if you were going to purchase a new one would you buy a 2 or 3 ?
Start eliminating stuff... pull the chips in your 3 way... I did have a problem with my 7AL-2 and sent it in for repair and they said it was fine.... I did a A/B/A test with my spare 7 AL-2 box and it was the problem BUT when I got it back, magically the problem was gone.... but it still cost the $40 (I think)... I'll be running a 7AL-2 on my street car also

I had a man I think in N.C. do a up grade on my 7AL-2. If anyone is interested I will try and find his contact info.for you. The cost last year was a $125.00. He is said to be very good on the MSD boxes,he said mine now tested good to over 12,500 RPM.
