I just finished restoring my Duster's engine compartment and now the tail lamps stay on with the headlight switch off. If i put the headlamp switch on the headlights and blinkers (don't flash) just stay lit up.

On the radiator area on the drivers side there's two wires from the headlamp wiring grounded. On the passenger side on the radiator mounting area there is one wire coming from the headlamp area grounded. What am i missing?

OK I have determined it IS the brake lights on. If i use the headlight switch to turn on the headlights the rear brake lights stay lit and the passenger side front blinker (in the grill) goes on and stays lit.

Sure it's not brake lights? Or possibly emergency flashers on.

could be brake lights, but the only wires removed and put back on were in the engine compartment by the headlights?

since you have redone the engine bay- make sure all grounds- rad support, engine and rear of block ground have NO paint behind them.

You said the headlight switch was unplugged.

Did you switch wires, maybe?

No i never disconnected the headlight switch, just worked in the engine compartment and took off the grounds on the radiator support, two on the driver's side that go to the headlamp wiring? and one on the passenger side that went to the headlmap wiring.
