this is in a pulling truck so a normal pass is about 20 secounds of full rpm. would you go with Ti valves? Will the T&D single shaft rockers hold? cam is .715 roller using .120 wall p-tubes and planning to run comp 947 springs(comps recomended). thanks for any input

Like P body asked.... what heads?
Reason is Ferrea makes hollow stem valves that are 20% lighter than stainless and a lot cheaper than titanium. I would only go with Jesel, T&D or Harland Sharp rockers. all can handle the stress. Might think you need to go to 948 springs for more control.

I would go with the TD or Jesel rockers only plus I
would go with Pac springs... I like the Ti valves but
they are about $100 each

Check out the Ferrea catolog online. I am using a set of their 2.25 hollow stem valves for my CNC Victors that I am having done. I wlll be seeing around 8000 in this combination.

You dont have much choice... Like Mr-P said T&D or Jesel. Might as well cross T&D's you speak of off that list. The wont work with those springs which are 1.645-1.65 or so....
You cant even run 1.625 springs with those rockers without clearancing the rocker arms.
I ran this very setup. and turned it 8K a few times.
Jesel 1.7 rockers
Manton PushRods .120 wall
Pac springs and Titanium retainers. I ran this setup for 3+ seasons, never had the first single issue.
Spray bat valve covers I made my self.
Use ball end/ball end pushrods, have the cup on the adjuster side.

8500 rpms for over 20 seconds... imo dont use hollow valves. stick with some tried and true solids..

At that RPM you really need Titanium valves--no question--you also need the best springs you can find--I would call PSI or the guys at CV Products-at that RPM it is time for Del West or similar quality Titanium retainers not the plain ole Comp junk--I would go Jesel all the way--Manton pushrods--spring location and control is a must and to be very honest you are past the threshold where a belt drive timing set will REALLY payoff--it reduces harmonics that destroy normal valvetrains and at that constant kind of RPM I would make sure I had the belt drive first even if you did nothing else. Get the Jesel NOT the cheapie Aussie copy! Time for a REAL damper as well--ATI is tops if you check hub/crank fit before you install-- I have done two winning pulling engines that are like you are running--had several trys at both builds and learned plenty--it ain't drag racing for sure! And remember--HP is not how pulling is won--it is all that science about wheel speed / drawbar etc Good Luck!

thanks for the input thats the way i was leaning. Just wanted some opinion before i dropped the cash for all the jesel setup. What is a ball park cost on having the heads machined for jesel rockers
