Here are some of the first pics I took today. Wow was it hot out there. Caught the second round of SS, heard air was around 4100 so not to many good runs unless you had something blowing air in your motor.

Car count was down, quite a bit of open space on SW west side of track. Also noticed that midway stuff has decreased some as well, but that may be because its Thursday.

Talked to Big Daddy briefly and bought a poster. Wow is he cool. I asked the lady for the poster, and she goes do you want him to autograph, "Well Yeah". So next thing I know he comes running around the corner and starts talking about his new Challenger. He was just talking about how he does the stock stuff because he has so much fun with it and laughed that he hasnt ever turned a wrench on the car "we just plug it into that plug thing and make it do stuff".

Ill post some more later. SS class tomorrow along with hemi challenge. Alot of new cars! Nothing like seeing a tractor trailer unload 3 cobra jets with a dealers name in vinyl all over it

My camera is just a little Samsung tl205. Size of a wallet and like 100 bucks on eBay. Zoom sucks though. More tonight

The Barton 68 Dart makes me smile--I pulled it from behind a house--1/2 of the front suspension was gone so I had two pieces of firewood wedged in there to help it roll--loaded it up and delivered to the North Carolina guy that first sent it out to be made into what it is today. Wish I had a picture but was just thinking of that little bit of $$ I would make for dragging in a solid 68 Dart core---ahhh....the good old days.

Cool story on the dart. It would be neat if someone had a good way to track the history on alot of these race cars.

Hey guys, special shout out to 68shifter for not only the great pics but also for going out of his way to meet me Friday morning to GIVE me free tickets he got from Mac Tools. In case you missed it he was offering some tickets he got to anyone who would use them and not sell them. My son and some friends go Friday every year and this year my boy was laid off so Andre gave me the tickets to help out. Fortunately (or unfortunately) he got called back to work and missed a great day of racing. Thanks again Andre, we used YOUR tickets and sold the one my friend bought on line for face value. Guys like you are one of the big reason I love this sport and specifically Mopars.

Well these are my last ones. Hopefully everyone enjoyed the pics.

The drag pak engine I believe is the one Helms blew up in A/S finals and was tore down somewhat.

Saturday the track was absolutely packed. Sunday was pretty busy as well, similar to previous years but I think weather held some up.

Hopefully some mopars can go some rounds tomorrow. A mopar hasnt won stock since Al Corda in 93', and Don MacCallum in SS in 94'.
