They work well, however they will never work as well in My experience compared to a Dominator. Especially when dealing with stroker Big Block Mopars. I have run those fancy 1050 CFM 4150 style carbs from Quick Fuel. They are nice carbs, and have better street manners.. but all out wide open throttle belongs to the dominator... I dont care what anyone says. The 440-2 Intake and adapter used in conjunction with a 8896-2 Dominator is what I ue and recommend. Atleast a tenth better than any 4150 carb. I dont care who's name is on them... I really NEVER understood the whole Custom $1000+ carb game (by a HP Holley and save $$). Bottom line is they cant tune your carb when they live half way across the country, bottom line is the end user is responsible. And those who never touch there carb or try to tune it... Thats fine too, I always do..

Do you have MW ports? If so, the Indy 440-2 intake will work just fine with a 4150 carb. Another way to go is the Super Victor intake with a 4500 to 4150 adapter. I've used that before on the dyno and it works pretty well.
The Mopar 337 intake also works well with a 4150 carb and it is a low profile intake that fits under the hood of most cars.
Yes to MW ports. Running Eddy's cnc'd by Modern. And hood clearance is a non issue, got tons of it

Has Hilborn injection on it now and running alcohol But I have only raced once in two years so far, just have no time to get to the track So thought instead of parking the race car for years that I would put it on the street so at least I can get some use out of it

with the Eddie heads i would use the mopar 337 intake. its perfect for that head block combo. otherwise you will need to make a leaky valley cover
i'm with Bob on the dominator making way more power than a 4150

It really depends on the carb and how well it's tuned.
On my 572 we tried an 1150 Dominator and a Q-series 4150 quickfuel 1050 and the difference was minimal ; 10hp on Dwayne's dyno
This is a 700hp combo that runs on 93UL pump swill.
I'd look for an MP 337 because it will solve two problems at once ; the built in valley tray is an excellent feature. I'm using the 337 on my 572 with MW Indy 295cc EZ's but i had to use a seperate valley tray due to the raised ports. You won't have that issue with the RPM heads !

Ps. Here's a pic of the 572 with the 337 manifold and QF 1050

HH, I have one of Patricks 1000hp 4150's on my 517, it's a fantastic carb for a 700-ish horse stroker, it has a 3 circuit 4500 metering block and the response and power is phenominal....I doubt a 4500 would be worth enough on a 700-720 horse stroker to be really worth the $$$. On a light, high stall race car with no real part throttle. roll-on carb tuning concerns it might be worth some (8-12) hp on top but you'd need to have at least a more racy 730+ horse (solid roller, high CR and peak hp above 6500) to see enough of a 'real world' difference. as with Hydraulic roller cams, the vast majority of the carb technology and R&D $$$ has been geared toward the 4150 baseplate carbs (Look at the SV1 for example), the performance gap below around 1100 cfm has really considerably narrowed over the past several years. IMO, the biggest advantage of the dommy is the lower pressure drop at WOT usually equates to more torque on a race car, on a stroker street car the avaialble torque almost always exceeds what most can practically applied to the ground.
