Hey All:

Looking into a '74 Charger. On these, does the steering and all that go through the headers like it does on the A-bodies? Do you still have to drop all that stuff and do the headers hang as low?

Thanks,
Steve

It depends on who's headers you use and weather it's a BB or SB.

I'm not sure which headers the first ones were on the 72 (360 SB) but they didn't hang low or have the steering pass through. The new ones, (Headman's IIRC) not only hang lower than I would like but also require the drag link be removed and sent through to install the drivers side.

None of the BB heades I have used have the steering linkage issue but my current Hooker SC adjustable race headers do hang lower than they need to.
