I had a similar thing happen.....my first time to the track in my newly built challenger (eddy headed 440), I made a pass....13.80 (I forget the mph, maybe 103?). Man I was po'd....

I go back to pits to figure out what's wrong...I know it should have ran better. I find that when I put the carpet in....that limited how far the throttle pedal would push down (I only had primarys opening on my 800 DP). I adjust the cable and the next pass was 11.70's at 116 mph.

I can't see the OP getting 2 seconds hooking up his 4bbl while useing 323's. His car is quite heavy as it is. A half second is about all I have witnessed before on others.

just a question why not work out the bugs before u go to the track. afterall that's why the state paves long straight aways.. I don't know how many times ive been to the track and seen cars spittin and backfiring breaking up etc!!! I'm like why not try it on the street before bringing it to the track. duh save urself the fuel cost of entry etc. Get it right on the street then take to track

You should have definatly been able to tell something wasn't right running 14's
