i have a 73 duster, mini tubbed, fiberglass hood, bumpers, and trunk. interior has been gutted, but it will have full dash and seats. i have a 440 that has aftermarket caps and a stud kit with girdle. i also have a comp 306b solid roller cam and some crower lifters. i also have a 70 forged 440 crank. i would like to get into the low 6's in the 1/8. i would like to do this as economically as possible, but i do not want to skimp on the parts. any suggestions as to what internals/heads to get?
i plan on a 727 from a local mopar guy.
what combos are you guys running?
i do want to be able to take it to the local cruise in, but will run mixed gas if needed.

12:1 pistons as light as you can afford, h-beam rods, decent aluminum heads, TM-7 intake, 950DP, big headers, 4800 stall and 4.56's should get you close.
I run a snow performance meth/water inject kit. $250 and no need for 110. just a thought

My pump gas 3450 lb. Duster runs in the low tens(10.03) at 133. + MPH in the 1/4 at sea level in the heat with the muffs. and air cleaner on, motor only , it runs mid 6s(6.43) in the 1/8 mile at 2500 ft altitude at our local track in the heat. How much money do you want to spend? Several options to get you there, be aware that you may need to get the car certified and get yourself a advance ET license to go that fast at your local tracks Pump gas motor in a 3300 lb car with the driver will probally need in exess of 750 HP and really good traction to get you there So if your thinking of running the stock stroke 440 crank your going to need a power adder to go that fast on pump gas My pump gas motor is a 400 block stroked to 518 C.I.(4.300 stroke with a 4.375 bore, Indy SR M.W. heads custom ground Comp Cams solid roller cam and so on ) that has made over 750 HP on pump gas on one of the local DTS engine dyno Your going to need more than that to go as fast as you want.

Mr.Cab Racing and winning with Mopars since 1964. (Old F--t, Huh)
