I know about the carb setup but 1000.00 for an intake is a little rich. Thinking of going efi. Trying to find a user friendly setup.
BTW firecore coils for the new hemi are apparently stronger. Someone suggested that the MSD are no stronger than stock !

Without any determining factors it's kinda hard to answer.

Carb or FI?

Do you want the PCM to just run the engine and nothing else?

Or, do you want the PCM to data log, turn a bunch of other devices off and on and so on?

A complete FAST kit would be good. XFI ECU and XIM ignition controller. Uses your stock sensors, manifold, etc, and it replaces the DBW TB with a cable driven throttle body.

A Diablosport Preditor can do a bunch to the stock ECU.
I have changed alot on my SRT. Map, injectors, air temp sensor. I have no codes and it runs strong at 5psi of boost. It can log as well. Not sure if mopar offers a ECU for retrofitting to old iron and if the preditor will interface with it.

Option two is FAST. It's alot more then a preditor though

How does the Fast compare to the Holley Dominator EFI. Looks like the Holley is a little over $1500.00 with the harness.

Getting old just means you were smarter than some and luckier than others.

I don't think Holley even does the ignition controller, or the throttle body. But I'd be interested to see if anyone has ever made this system work with a Gen3 HEMI.

I just read the Holley instructions. They do handle the ignition but only for "smart coils". These are the LS1 or LS2 style where the coil drive electronics are part of the coil. Apparently it does not drive coils directly. But this can work if you're willing to change to the MSD LS1 coil pack, but Summit's price is $650 for those.

The Mopar kit works great. The ECU and wiring harness are made by AEM . The ECU, ignition and data logger are all in one box. The wiring harness is plug and play for a Gen III Hemi. We use this system in our Drag Pak Challengers. AEM has been extremely helpful with our set ups.
