Looking to swap my orig torsion bars to a "better" pair. Is there a street/strip that my 3900 lb GTX would like. My short time best is 1.60. 10.89 @ 126. Thanks. I've got Cal Trac rear mono's with 9 way Rancho's, and Calvert front's as well..

Rich... it would depend on what bars are in it now
and how much travel you have... if you went with a
lighter bar you will get more stored energy in the
bars to lift higher VS a big bar that lifts only so
much then stops lifting.... either way you need the
travel

You have Caltracs in the rear...and they require 5-5 1/2" of travel up front. The thinner /6 or drag bars would definitely lower the front of the car down some to allow more travel, and like said, give you more stored energy for the launch.

With caltracs and the power you are producing, you should be well in the 1.4s 60 ft.

Check and see how much ft. end travel you have to see if the setup can work as intended.

Good luck,
Greg.

Depends on road usage, i wouldn't use lighter than 318 bars on your car, my bars are sl 6 and they struggle with weight of the 440 over the nose in a 3200# race ready car.
My car dropped .14 changing from 340 GTS bars to sl 6.
Wallace calc says a 10.89 = 1.51 60ft and 126 mph =10.52

What about Mopar specific Drag Racing bars? Any luck? I want new bars, just want to maximize my set-up.
