Hi!

I just finished bowl blending and port matching the intakes on my stealth heads and Eddy RPM intake.

I just blended the valve seat cuts into the bowls, left the guides bosses alone as I thought they were already very slim as cast, I port matched the intake ports to the intake gasket, and port matched the RPM intake a tad smaller than the intake gasket scribe lines to leave a bit of room for missaligment issues.

I also ground off any casting flash and irregularities from the intake and exhaust ports on the heads and intake.

Thats it.

How much do you think I have picked up from doing this, and do you suggest I go any further?

This is a stock stroke 440, 10,5:1 CR, and a hyd flat tappet cam with around ,530 lift.

Im gonna use stock HP 70-71 exhaust manifolds and a full 2,5" exhaust.

My opinion on the work you did is this: you just guaranteed the advertised flow, perhaps a little more, and then you put a cork in the system with stock type manifolds/exhaust. You may be losing 30 to 60 hp potential on the conservative side.

Absolutely nothing wrong with that if that is the direction you want to go.

Too many cars, too many parts, too little coin, too little space to work in, too little time left to make it all happen! Update: down to one ride, still too many parts, a little more jingle in the pocket, gaining space, and it's going to happen this year!

I hate headers on a street car! the primaries will get smashed with the 1st speedbump and then I doubt they will be making more HP than stock manifolds!

Ill stick with manifolds on a streeter.

IS there anything I can do on the RPM manifold? Or is the gasket match all I need to do?

Not sure how great it would work but awhile back I was thinking about a street sleeper motor. I wondered how having a set of cast iron manifolds abrasive ported would work? It doesn't remove a lot of material so they should still be thick enough to handle the heat and they should flow somewhat better. I was planning on using the 67-69 HP manifolds. I planned on using the same heads and intake you have. You can have the intake done also. The only other thing I can think of would be a set of block hugger headers. Good luck with your project.

Yes. Id extrude hone the exhaust manifolds, but that service is unavailable down here in Peru....so Ill just port em the best I can, within my reach.

Its a street car....

In any case I think I will be making near 500 hp, with a 4 speed and a 71 cuda in full street trim I doubt I will be missing those 30 extra hp.

Sounds like a 400-450 hp combo, max. Not inflated hp, I mean real, dynoed hp!

Why not try block huggers or shorties?

Extrude hone costs so many dollars per horsepower that you have to be something like a Factory Appearing Stock racer for it to pay off. There are cast iron manifold porting specialists here in the US name Brzezinski racing or something like that. They have been very helpful to me in the past. Look them up.
