Id recommend the 318 bars with a BB. Thats what I use and love them. They are a little stiff for me because Im so light at 3000# but work great.

You can ID your bars by both the diameter and the identifying stamping numbers on them.

/6 bars are .83 diameter, stamped 889. on both sides.

318 bars are .85 diameter, stamped 890/891 R/L

340 bars are .87 diameter, stamped 892/893 R/L

just took the car for its first ride and the front is dragging and i dont have much adjustment left

I have the stock 1971 6 non air cylinder bars in my Duster, I also ended up using the Koni SPA B body front shocks 1.41 60 ft. cork up so far It is street driven and rides fine this way

What I've always heard, and think it's in the Mopar Chassis Manual, is if you are running a BB use SB T-bars. If running a SB use /6 T-bars. At least for drag racing.

I've always used the 340 bars with my big block. I've never had a hooking or handling issue. I run a small tire and leaf springs with cal-tracs.
My car consistently goes 1.3 to 1.33 60fts.

If you want the limited travel like you do, then you will want the thicker 340 bars or thicker. How heavy are you?

@ 3000# my 318 SB bars are pretty stiff, but I still get 4" to 6" of front end lift or so. Your 2" lift max wont work IMO unless your some kind of chassis Guru.

no chassis guru, poor bob george had to answer 100 questions while i was attempting to weld this car together.

the more i watch fast cars go down the track the more i notice how even and uneventful their cars look while us slow guys are trying to put it on the bumper and act like mental patients.

i never had a ladder bar car so i dont know but i have only heard that "5 inches of travel" needed for the caltracs. i dont hear ladder bar guys saying that

I have mine limited to 5" of travel. Mine will go almost 6" if left hang. But I really don't think you want that much with ladder bars. I may be wrong though, just what I've heard and seen. Hope this helps, and good luck with it!

I run the .830 6-cyl. bars as the .810 drag bars kept sagging over time and these are going on 8 years and from a junkyard to boot.

My car is a original 340 car and I left the 340 T-bars in it.No limiters and it hooks pretty good.
