I've searched and searched the forums to no avail. I'm making a GTX clone out of my 67 Satellite, and I'd like to add the scoop holes to the hood before I move on with wrapping up the body work. Does anyone have some really good reference on locating the hood scoops correctly? I found this image of the scoops on a 70 B during my search, that basically shows what I'm looking for. All help is appreciated.

PS> Anyone know where to get studs/nuts for the scoops?

Thanks guys!

Carey

I just measured mine Front of left scoop at bezel is 2 1/2" from the edge of the hood and 16 1/2" to center of hood on other side of scoop at bezel Back edge of scoop is 3 5/8" from back edge of hood measured at the center of the scoop. The rear of the scoop just before curve is 3 1/8" from the side edge of the hood and 17 1/2" to center of hood on the other side of the scoop. the other side of hood is the same. 6 of the 8 mount bolts go though the sub structure of the hood so the holes in the structure have to be bigger [for the nuts and socket to tighten them] than the holes in the hood panel its self. Good luck Bob

Did you look at the underside of the hood? It's obvious where the scoops go.

Only if the hood is a 1967. Not if it is a 66.

Ok holes are drilled, scoops fit , Thanks again guys!!

Now the next question is does anyone know where or if
anyone sells the mounting nuts??? I know thay're nut just standard nuts as they have to clear the shoulders where the studs are mounted.
And unfortunately I need them!!

You guys are the best!!!
